TECAS is a place to feed interest and passion by learning, producing excellent work, developing expertise while collaborating with other professionals, and truly participating in ownership and growth in a workplace that advances science while putting people first.
TECAS extends a permanent open invitation to motivated individuals interested in strengthening the TECAS team. Current open positions include:
Successful applicants will require excellent field skills and aptitudes that will include physical strength and mindfulness to care for valuable electronic instruments while operating equipment such as boats, motors and trailers (even in inclement weather, when necessary). They will show comfort and aptitude for working in remote settings within teams of local First Nations community members.
Attention to detail and strong writing skills are highly valued. All team members will lead or contribute to report writing in the projects they’re involved in.
Successful candidates will work as a team, with growing individual responsibility, in all aspects of the work from study design to field studies to report writing and publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals, with support and oversight by senior staff.
TECAS employees work primarily from home with flexible hours but will have access to home-based office and laboratory space in central Winnipeg. Field work comprises shorter, more focused studies with more variety than much of the consulting industry offers.
The positions will be formed around the capabilities, experience levels, and interests of the selected applicants. As opportunities develop, the employees will be offered mentorship, responsibility, project management and leadership opportunities commensurate with their expertise, level of experience and ability to work independently.
TECAS is a place of continual learning and professional development where committed employees have true opportunity for ownership. We uphold tenets of integrity of character and care for people as people. We believe in advancing science and promoting its practical application across the geographical and regulatory landscapes. Whatever skills and interests you might have, we can probably use and develop them!
Candidates are encouraged to inform us of their interest at employment@ToewsEnvironmental.ca
